Recommendations

Ways to heal and reduce downtime..

  1. Avoid tanning beds or sunbathing for 14 days prior to or post treatment. Consider stopping this practice due to increase risk of skin cancer, dark spots, and accelerated aging.

  2. Always avoid the sun, ultraviolet rays (UV) and wear sunscreen daily (preferably mineral base). Adding a hat to your wardrobe will help prevent damage from burning and aging sunrays.

  3. Avoid skincare products that can clog pores and irritate the skin for 24 hours (i.e., soap, makeup, greasy lotions, alcohol, or perfumed base creams).

  4. Avoid unnecessary touching of treated area.  It is common for white heads or minute scabs to appear in areas treated by Electrolysis.  This is the lymphatic system purging follicle remnants. Use Neosporin, Bacitracin, or A&D ointment to help with these skin reactions. Do not pick any scabs to prevent scarring or dark spots.

  5. Swelling, redness, and soreness can last up to two weeks after Electrolysis but rare.  You may experience similar symptoms post facial treatments lasting 1-3 days. Ice the area if tenderness persists.

  6. Stay hydrated because water helps flush out toxins. Keep skin moisturized.

  7. Exercise or use saunas/hot tubs/pools 24-48 hours after service.

  8. If treating underarms with Electrolysis, avoid deodorant for 24-48 hours.

  9. Do not exfoliate the treated area for 24-48.

  10.  Avoid wearing makeup for 24 hours.
